Rugeley Trent Valley... c.1988
A couple of class 20s take a train of MGR wagons onto the Walsall branch for delivery to the power station. |
A down coal train headed by a class 58. On the right is the branch to Walsall via Rugeley town and the power station. |
Class 86 on an up express. |
Class 87 takes a down express through the platform road... the down fast. |
Class 87 on another down express. |
I remember it well... I am pretty sure I was there for the class 20's at least. Good times although the station was less than pretty. I remember looking at the gantries for the OHLE and trying to imagine how there could be enough steel in the world to make those for the whole line to Glasgow.
