Doncaster Station.

Image
An East Midlands train ready to leave for Lincoln. Virgin Trains are short of class 91 power while some locos are being serviced so they have hired in a few class 90s from DB for the Leeds route. Here 90029 leaves the station propelling an up train from platform 1. An empty coal train heads north. Very little coal traffic is seen these days. This Colas liveried class 37 was on one end of a test train in the yard On the previous day the train had worked from Derby to Scarborough and back to Doncaster. A class 91 enters the station on a Kings Cross to Leeds train. One of the Hull Trains class 180 units with a down service. Virgin Trains are obviously short of HST power cars too as this, and its mate at the other end, were hired in from East Midlands Trains
