York Station
There has been very little from York station on this blog of late so here are a few shots from yesterday morning. Grand Central class 180 on a Kings Cross train. LNER Edinburgh to Kings Cross train entering the station. TransPenning Express train to Manchester Airport... although there have been frequent cancellations recently with many airport trains going no further than Manchester Victoria which is on the north side of the city necessitating a long tram journey to get to the airport. When it arrived it had three reasonably filled coaches. There were two empty class 185s standing in platform 4 but it seems that these could not be used. In steam days carriages would have been shunted around the station (with passengers inside) and spare stock added to trains to cover for such an occasion as this... such is the nature
