Old liveries... even older trains.

Image
The pacers have been seen in a number of liveries.... here are a few which are no longer with us, unlike the trains themselves. The old Northern Livery seen at Darlington.  Regional Railways livery.  These two from the time Arriva Trains ran the local services in the north east. This one in the south bay at Darlington station.  A Tyneside variation of the Arriva livery... again at the south end of Darlington station on a Saltburn train. These trains used to be 6/8 coach trains made up of non corridor stock headed by a 2-6-4T or 4-6-2T steam loco.

GNER Class 91s.

A reminder of the East Coast Main Line when the locos had a classy livery. The number of class 91s will be drastically reduced when (if) the Azumas (eventually) come into service.  A down express coming into platform 4 at Darlington station.  Approaching Darlington South Junction with a down train.  Entering York Station from the South.  A down train on the southern approach to Darlington station.  Coming off Durham Viaduct and entering the down platform. Leaving Darlington Station propelling an up train.
