28 years apart.....


Back to 1987 and the two south facing bays at York station. Both are in use at this time by DMUs. Note the number of bikes on the platform.
Only one platform now has track and this class 158 is on a Hull train. Note the number of bikes has increased a little over the 28 years which separate the two pictures. 

This is what a Harrogate train looked like back in 1987.
The day I took this the passengers for Harrogate were lucky not to have a pacer dating back to 1987.This is one of the few class 155s which were not made into single car class 153s. Note the next platform is now trackless.
