Mendip Rail.

Merehead and Whatley quarries are in Somerset and together they ship out huge quantities of stone by rail. These images were taken in the 1990s at both quarries. 

Yeoman Quarries owned class 59 approaches the quarry with a train of empties. 



Class 56 no 56 039 arrives at Merehead with a train of empty YEOMAN hoppers.
