Hornsea Station, East Yorkshire.

When the branch line from Hull to Hornsea was closed in October 1964 the Station building was left to deteriorate. This is what it looked like by late summer 1985.

However, it is a Grade 2 listed building so it could not easily be demolished and it was a rather grand building so it was converted to flats, some of which were available for let as self catering accommodation.

These images show the present state of the buildings and area.

The area in front of the old station is now part of the Trans Pennine walk.

The station house has been made into two flats with the ground floor being holiday accommodation.
